I created Farming on Purpose with a vision to inspire and uplift the ag community. My passion stems from years of firsthand experience on our own operation and helping other farms and ranches build the brands and businesses that keep them independent.
My mission is to bridge gaps and champion the next generation of agricultural leaders. Personally and through shared experiences, I've seen how innovation, community, resilience — and ownership of your own story — can transform farm life.

Why We Do It
At the root of what we do is a deep drive to be involved in production agriculture, as we strive to overcome the challenges faced by beginning and expanding farmers and ranchers everywhere.
We know there is a huge barrier to entry for beginning farmers and ranchers. We know farming and ranching can be a financially and mentally stressful job. It's time we start talking about how we can set our kids up for something better — not just a bigger operation, but one they actually control.
We are direct descendants of independent, strong-willed people who came to a new place and literally scratched a living from the dirt. They built houses, barns, and families. That same independence is still the whole point today — it just takes a different kind of grit to hold onto now.
