We are directly descended from independent, strong-willed people who came to a new place and literally scratched a living from the dirt. They built houses, barns, and families all while knowing if the crop failed, so would they.
Today’s challenges in agriculture are new, but the grit and determination required to be successful are not. I started the Farming on Purpose Podcast from a passion for sharing the stories of people who are not afraid to try something new. Here, you won’t hear practices demonized or producers ridiculed for trying something unconventional. We believe that discussing ideas is the only way we will find a way forward that keeps our heritage alive AND feeds the people who depend on our food system.
